IT from your wall-socket

Who is operating my IT?

You are used to buying or leasing IT systems and running them on your premises. In such a business model, systems grow bit by bit over the years. Due to the historic development, it is often not possible to undertake far-reaching changes, as many applications depend on certain systems and operating systems.

Virtualisation as enabler

Modern virtualisation technology allows the decoupling of software from hardware. This possibility opens up the unique opportunity to better utilize the systems and to optimally adjust the various requirements of the applications. On a closer look, this also means that a number of new technologies must be introduced and many processes in IT defined. Training employees to use the additionally required processes and systems such as storage, hypervisor and management systems is often time-consuming.

Price per user - scalable and according to need

Outsourcing IT systems with virtualisation support enables the calculation of price per user and scope of supply. With increasing demand you will receive additional service. This linear relation is linked to the development of your business. Your business figures will not be affected by overproduction or unnecessary capital commitment through IT.

The costs (TCO) for your IT will decrease and can be represented per employee, cost centre, department and company division. Investments in hardware with short life-cycles are no longer necessary. When changes occur during the course of business, resources can be adapted according to the customer's requirements. The IT costs and the scope of supply can be redefined every month, if necessary. For special requirements, additional services for individual applications can be provided on certain days or for certain time frames. All changes occur without influence on the systems or applications and can be realised in realtime or in maintenance windows.

Flexibility

Small and medium-sized companies are marked by their flexibility and customer orientation. This is achieved by their adaptability to new conditions and fast reactions to the content demanded by the market. The company IT as an indispensable production factor can often only contribute in a limited way. System environments, which are taken into account in budgets and devised for three to five years, often do not meet requirements in the company. The optimal IT requires a continuous adaptation process to company processes as well as the communication with customers and suppliers.

Dynamic outsourcing

A solution for flexible IT is the dynamic outsourcing offered by Autowork. Together with leading companies from the IT industry, we have developed maximum flexibility for our clients' IT using intelligent technologies. Data centre services enable the adaptation of your system environment to your requirements within minutes. Virtualising the IT infrastructure in the area of storage, server, operating system, client and network provides the customer with a tool kit which enables him to create his solution within minutes. After successful testing, the environment can be integrated within the company processes. If components are no longer required, these can just as quickly be switched off again. The resources are thus distributed and utilised dynamically.

Our partners - leaders in technology

In recent years, the wheat has separated from the chaff within the IT industry. Only few companies have succeeded in positioning themselves in key technologies of IT infrastructure. Autowork has entered qualified partnerships with technology leaders from each segment in order to provide customers with a complete high-performance tool kit. Among our partners are:

  • IBM

  • Cisco

  • Oracle

  • Netapp

  • Microsoft

  • VMware

  • Citrix

  • Redhat

  • QSC

Building on certified system environments consisting of hard and software from the above-mentioned manufacturers, Autowork provides data centre services which are optimally adjusted to meet customer demands through, and as a result of, virtualisation.

Connections - scalable and according to need

Data networks constitute the arteries in the age of communication and it is our expertise to utilize these and provide integrated services for our clients. All applications can be connected with their existing clients thorough desktop virtualisation or terminal servers via Virtual Private Network (VPN). Processes using Ultra Thin Client concepts increase data security and the mobility of employees to the highest possible degree.

Your applications - data security

Modern outsourcing offers security for your data and systems at a level which is normally exclusive to large corporations or the military. The security results from multiple data mirroring, which is made available in form of a copy across cities and continents. All systems are laid out redundantly and are always operational in order to ensure that a system or a component failure does not lead to a standstill. Internal system checks locate failures and fix them. Manufacturers automatically dispatch spare parts, which can be exchanged during operation (hotswap). Failures requiring manual intervention are reported to the service staff. Your IT staff or our service staff can carry out necessary changes at any time to ensure minimum downtime. You can check the status of your data backup online, and access up to 255 data backups from the past hours, days or months online on SnapShots. You will receive your servers and data on tape for your archives in regular intervals.

  • and many more.

Conversion

The way to convert systems in to the data centre is very easy. Through virtualisation, existing systems are converted from the physical to the virtual world (P to V). These virtual machines are independent from drivers, raid controllers or other hardware properties. Now systems, which used to be stand alone systems, can be run in high availability clusters under VMware or XEN.

Even systems that need to be operated as physical systems can be converted to the virtual world and then onto a physical machine in the data centre (V to P). Adjustments to the requirements as far as disk space and partitioning as well as dimensioning of the number of CPUs and RAM are concerned, can easily be undertaken during conversion.
